Standing since 1891, obviously inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris this look out tower offers some pretty impressive views of Prague.
The double staircase (one for going up and one for going down - you never meet!) has 299 steps and there is a first level at around 20m and the second main view point at around 60m.
There is also a lift but only for the aged and disabled so make sure you're fit. Don't panic - there are resting seats both on the way up and down...
Inside the tower at ground level, there is a small Buffet where you can get a very welcome beverage and snack. They also do a pretty mean - Big Hot Dog!
The best way to get to there is the Funicular from Ujezd. Going at almost 45 degrees up Petrin hill, and included in your public transport pass. Several trams go to Ujzed.
